What should you do, if it comes to the end of the night and you find that you haven’t had much water all day. Should you drink water before bed? The answer is no. It is much more important to let your body get a good night’s sleep. If you do drink water before you go to bed there’s a very high chance that you will wake up in the middle of the night and have to use the bathroom. This would have, of course, interrupted your deep sleep cycle. Getting enough sleep is worth way more than a little bit of dehydration.
Tomorrow is another day! Start fresh! When it comes to drinking water it is a great idea to carry a water bottle with you. I myself, used to carry a gallon of water everyday and almost everyday I would finish that gallon of water. Then one day I stopped doing that and what do you know? I didn’t drink any water the whole entire day!
So do yourself a favor and be prepared when you leave the house in the morning and take a bottle of water of with you. Your skin will look better and your breath will smell better and that’s always great! Also, when it comes to working on losing weight, a lot of times people are confusing the empty feeling in their stomach for hunger, when it’s really thirst that is causing the feeling. So a good idea is that, when you feel you are hungry and its not time to eat, drink a big glass of water. If you feel like the water is hitting an empty burning hole in your stomach, well then most likely you really are hungry. But, if it seems to take away the feelings of hunger, then you were just thirsty.
If you find that you cannot drink enough water because you just can’t do it, then mix something healthy yet flavorful into your water, like lemon and mint leaves or cucumbers and oranges. Also when it comes to drinking water here are two rules to follow. Try not to drink too much water on top of the food you just ate, because it won’t be absorbed as well as water introduced on an empty stomach. So wait at least an hour after you eat food to drink some water, or if you are at a restaurant try to drink a nice big glass of water before you eat. Let’s say that’s about 15 to 20 minutes before you take in food because the water will be in your system by then. This will also help you to not overeat. It’s not a magic trick, but it does help a little. It’s these types of changes that cam make a big difference in your life.
